Green Smoothie
Make a delicious green smoothie for St. Patrick's day this year and skip all the green treats made with food coloring. This smoothie is good enough that everyone will drink it up and want more for the rest of the year. It's a perfect way to eat veggies, even for breakfast and dessert. The yogurt adds protein, calcium, and important probiotics but is optional, and the smoothie is great-tasting with or without it. Hemp seed hearts add even more protein as well as omega-3 fats without adding a flavor. For the best smoothies checkout my 6 Tips for Spectacular Smoothies. Happy St. Patty's Day!

Ingredients
1 cup orange juice (or any light colored 100% fruit juice) 2 tbsp hemp seed hearts (optional) 2 cups baby spinach or kale 1 ripe banana (or an apple) 2 cups frozen pineapple 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt (optional)
Directions
1) Add all ingredients to a high-powered blender in the order listed and blend for a few minutes until smooth. If the consistency is too thick to blend, add a bit more juice. Don't add too much because the ingredients become thinner after it blends for a few minutes. If you want it thicker, add more frozen fruit (rather than ice). This recipe makes 3 1/2 cups with the yogurt and 3 cups without the yogurt.

Anytime Chere! Did the kids love the smoothie? My daughter can’t get enough of it, and she’s picky!
